Hi, my name is Lauren Bell and I am graduating with a BA Hons in Business Management with Placement.
What is your favourite memory of your time at Newcastle?
Having the opportunity to complete a placement year within Newcastle University Business School as an Alumni Relations Intern. This allowed me to meet a lot of Business School graduates and be inspired by what they have gone on to achieve.
What is the best thing about Newcastle?
The lecturers are specialists in their areas and include a lot of their own research within lectures, which helps bring the learning to life by demonstrating how different concepts are applied in practice and relevant.
What would you tell your previous self, and do you have any advice to new students?
The Business School provides so many extracurricular activities that I wish I had got involved with earlier. So make sure you get involved in as many opportunities as you can as this will allow you to make a lot of useful connections for the future, build up your CV and provide you with a lot of interesting points to discuss in an interview.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hopefully in a managerial role and gaining experience of international business.
