In need of work experience but not sure where to start? Thinking of doing an internship? Prefer to stay local to the area and university?
If the answers to these questions are yes, then a regional internship may be for you! Take a look at our most frequently asked questions to find out more.
Who can apply?
Regional internships are open to all students (both home and international).
Can I apply for more than one internship?
You are welcome to apply for more than one internship.
Each application asks different questions and we would advise applying for no more than three programmes. Your application to each programme will be reviewed independently, so we recommend tailoring each application to each programme.
What skills will I develop?
You will be given a fantastic opportunity to differentiate yourself from your peers gained from the additional experience you will have, which will help make you stand out when coming to apply for a graduate job.
When do applications open?
Applications for the 2019 regional internship programme open from 09 January 2019.
What happens once I’ve submitted my application?
You will receive a message saying ‘Success. Your submission has been saved.’ You will not receive email confirmation that the form has submitted.
We will assess your application based on our eligibility and quality criteria. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of a few short essay questions that gauge your interest in the specific programme and your cultural awareness.
You will receive confirmation of the status of your application via email. At this stage you will either:
- be invited to interview
- receive an email informing you your application has not been successful
Due to the high volume of applicants we receive it is not possible to provide feedback on specific applications, although feedback can be given if you are invited to interview.
If you have any additional questions or enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Kathryn Sayers.
