Business School Alumni Lukas Passia and Vincent Efferoth harnessed the UK’s love for afternoon tea and alcohol and created Noveltea: tea infused with gin and rum. They came up with the firm after securing a place on Rise Up, the University’s innovative business start up package for graduates with business ideas. Rise Up nurtures emerging entrepreneurial talent with financial backing, office space and mentoring. Through the provision of talented advisers and with access to a plethora of resources, helping to develop big business ideas with the potential to achieve scale.
In 2017 Noveltea had great success, with Fenwick being the first to stock their bottles, soon followed by John Lewis and Harrods. Due to this success, Lukas and Vincent have made it onto the Chronicle’s 18 companies to watch for 2018 list.
