Human Resources

Job Purpose

  • To support McDonald’s Corporation to achieve its business objectives
  • Support the International Lead Markets, High Growth Markets and EU Foundational Markets
  • Support Employee Relations, People Systems, Rewards and Talent acquisition, Global people strategy and projects


  • Employee Relations
    – Develop relationships with key stakeholders and department managers
    – Work with HR Managers across the markets and across different time zones
    – Provide advice and guidance to managers/employees on a variety of ER/HR topics as required
    – Assist in the administration element of all employee relations
    – Support the new starter process
    – Support the online filing system for employee data
    – General support function for all ER related customer service, including: flexible working/ maternity/ paternity/
    discipline/ performance management/ compensation packages
    – Maintain confidentiality of any document and deal with sensitive issues


  •  HR Project Work
    – To work as a team member to assist in the delivery of the Global People strategy, People goals and Targets.
    – Provide primary support for the on-going HR projects working with the People Systems, Rewards, Talent and HR
    Directors as well as supporting the Chief People Officer.
    – Manage the 2018 Industrial Placement scheme.
    – To support event planning for internal HR meetings, Awards and Competitions


  • Other
    – To act as an initial point of contact for both internal and external callers
    – Provide administrative support to the Global People Team as required
    – Liaise with internal HR Professionals in order to stay current and up-to-date with changing HR practices and
    – Other Adhoc tasks

Human Resources Application Pack 2018


Job Purpose

  • Active role within the Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Planning & Reporting area of the Global Finance team
  • You will work as an active member of the Global Accounting and Reporting


  • Assist with Financial Audit Preparation (External Auditors)
    – Journal Entries Selection
    – Compiling Invoices and their backups
    – Balance Confirmation with McDonald’s Markets


  • Assist with the 2018 P&L and Trial Balance Review & 2019 Planning Process
    – Monthly Cost analysis by Reporting Lines and Cost Centres/ Department as well as Entity Level
    – Projections Analysis

    – Effectively communicating over email and telephone to resolve any issues with contacts.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Corporate Relations Assistant to join the McDonald’s Corporate Relations team based in Shoreditch,London. The successful candidate will work on a range of communications projects for International Lead, High Growthand Foundational Markets; including coordinating the monthly media and activity reports for markets, monitoring media and social media and ensuring message alignment across markets. There will also be an opportunity to support press office activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with great writing and organisational skills who enjoys working in a busy environment and who has a strong interest in corporate relations, communications and social media.


  • Co-ordination of the monthly media and activity report for over 25 markets alongside collating all markets entries for the monthly Global News Calendar. Including gathering of information, writing content and creating a summary report for the Global team
  • Liaising with the markets to stay on top of planned communication activities and ensure messaging is aligned with global standards
  • Gathering information and creating a summary report for public affairs issues across International Lead, High Growth and Foundational markets
  • Dealing with press enquiries, monitoring news coverage and sending out official statements to the press
  • Drafting and writing of separate content for internal communications and other projects as required, such as media briefings
  • Ensure digital channels including the online press office are monitored and updated
  • Assist the team in the distribution of management communications, such as quarterly results
  • Supporting in the co-ordination of the Quarterly Business Report, helping summarise and collate content
  • Ownership and maintenance of digital image library and support on sourcing images and other materials for senior management presentations etc.
  • Maintenance of contact details and email distribution lists
