Salary grade: £18,600, London Living Wage

Duration of contract: Fixed period of 12 months (starting 16 July 2018)

Hours of work: Full time, 35-hour week and may include some evening times and weekend working as required

Insight Intern

  • To work as part of a team that achieves London Sport’s insight objectives through delivering high quality insight services.
  • To support specific insight projects, from design to delivery, and advise colleagues on how best to apply the insights gained.
  • To support the team with primary research into physical activity and sport across the capital, including implementing fieldwork techniques such as focus groups and interviews.
  • To support the team with their secondary research and analysis needs as required.
  • To act as the first point of contact for insight enquiries to London Sport and respond or refer as appropriate.
  • Update and monitor the research offer on the London Sport Insight Portal.
  • Support the Products Manager with the development and implementation of London Sport’s digital strategy.
  • Work alongside other interns to manage and support office responsibilities.
  • To support the team with other relevant insight tasks and projects as necessary.

Project Support Intern

  • To provide administrative support for the delivery of key projects and programmes that contribute to London Sport’s strategy.
  • To lead on the delivery of certain aspects of London Sport’s projects and programmes.
  • Collect and collate monitoring and evaluation data for projects and programmes.
  • Identify, document, share and promote good practice of London Sport’s projects and programmes.
  • Support the Grants and Governance team in implementing finance and governance processes and procedures.
  • Support event delivery for London Sport major events such as the annual Partner Engagement event and London Sport Awards.
  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries to London Sport responding or referring as appropriate.
  • Work alongside other interns to manage office responsibilities.

House of Sport Intern

  • To own the Support Services for House of Sport.
  • To monitor and respond to general enquiries from the admin@ email account.
  • To provide administrative support in the Control of Contractors process for House of Sport, together with the Grants and Governance Team.
  • Schedule Maintenance and Service Visits with Contractors, plan them into the calendar, and liaise with our Residents to arrange appropriate access.
  • To support the House of Sport Operations Manager in managing the meeting room facility.
  • To provide assistance with the process for external meeting room requests by coordinating the bookings, payment, wi-fi, and access requirements.
  • To support the events team on an ad hoc basis.
  • To prepare agenda and lead the quarterly Health and Safety Committee Meetings.
  • To support the House of Sport Operations Manager with weekly checks ensuring legal compliance with regards to Health and Safety.
  • Monitor the IT and Maintenance tracker to ensure all jobs raised are dealt with and closed within the agreed timeframes.
  • Monitor House of Sport Usage Reports and escalate instances outside of prescribed parameters as necessary.
  • To assist in other ad-hoc jobs and projects relating to Facilities and Operations Management.

Marketing and Communications Intern

  • To support the delivery of high quality publications, marketing materials and digital communications as key components of the London Sport strategy.
  • To undertake specific digital communication projects and drive their implementation across the business, with a particular focus on social media.
  • To act as the first point of contact for marketing and communications enquiries to London Sport and respond or refer as appropriate.
  • To support the further development and maintenance of London Sport’s social media accounts and to proactively suggest innovative ways to maximise these channels.
  • To support press and media related activity in line with London Sport’s strategy.
  • To maintain electronic and paper records, files and databases for the team and for collecting and reporting monitoring and evaluation data.
  • To support the Head of Marketing and Head of Corporate Communications.
  • To support the successful delivery of London Sport events, with a focus on the marketing and communication of them.
  • To support the management of London Sport’s brand, and associated brands.
  • To undertake other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Marketing, Head of Corporate Communications, all Directors and the Chief Executive Officer.
